Josh began tattooing in Denver in '97, working at a couple of little shops for about 6 months before being brought on at Twisted Sol Custom Tattooing to do a real apprenticeship. He apprenticed at Twisted Sol under Mike Nickels and worked there until 2000.

In 2000 Josh and his wife moved to Arkansas for a year, and then to Atlanta where Josh worked at Psycho Tattoo until early 2003.

In 2003 Josh went back to Twisted Sol, where he tattooed and managed the shop until he bought Lifetime in February of 2006. Paying some homage to Twisted Sol, he changed the name of the shop from Lifetime to Lifetime of Sol Tattoo.

On top of tattooing and running Lifetime of Sol, he also has a tattoo machine company named Honorable Irons Manufacturing with partner Adam Ciferri, and he teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Josh tattoos by appointment only and is usually booked out 2-3 months in advance.
